I don’t think that statement really applies to open source software, especially in this case. Inkscape is a pretty powerful vector graphics program.

I break down my time on a NEW job, meaning building the required graphics very roughly as follows:
70% for the building/drawing of the graphics.
10% to run the job on the CNC.
10% clean-up and sanding.
10% coating/painting/waxing/polishing whichever one you do.
