Why am I getting a contour path on a v carve? same design , same tool path different outcomes.
Upload your design file. The photos are good for describing the problem, but almost no use for actually diagnosing it.
That said, see if one path has a different Max Depth than the other.

Looks like you depth-limited the V-carve — does what was cut match the 3D preview?
