Homing problem slamming into rail

Hello, my Shapeoko XXL keeps slamming into the right rail while homing. This is new. I was using Lightburn when it started but it’s also doing it in Carbide Create. It happened the first time after my computer went to sleep and it tried to go home after waking. I’ve selected my Use Laser Macro (G10 L2 P0 X0 Y0) in Lightburn, but after this failed I opened CC and tried ‘Send Configuration Data’, which I’ve done before with success going from LB to CC, but still slamming into the right rail when homing.

Any advice? Thank you. - Rick

Check the limit switch and its wiring.
The macro wouldn’t cause that.

Well, the wire is in place and the red light is coming on when I place metal in front of it. Can you offer any other troubleshooting? I’m a newbie, so I may just be overlooking something basic. Thanks

Does the indicator led on the main board light up when you trigger it?

Looks like limit switch somehow got shifted a mm out of range. Thanks

So you’re good?

For others that might read this post here is a doc I created for troubleshooting new and/or upgraded Proximity Switches. The doc also covers v-wheel adjustment.homing_problems.pdf (1.2 MB)

Yes, thanks…
