Unfortunately, my new S05 with 80mm VFD spindle has been nothing but a problem since it arrived about a month ago. I detailed my issues in another thread so I won’t get into them here, and the Carbide support team has been working to figure out the problems and get me up and running, so this is not a bitching about C3D or my issues thread. I have faith that they will get me sorted. Their values, support, and community are one of the main reasons why I chose to upgrade to the S05 4x4 from my 4XXL instead of going with another company like Inventables.
Currently, I have a bad Z-axis homing switch, and support is sending me a new one; however, the machine comes with a spare, the only problem is the machine arrived with the 2 X-axis limit switch wires pulled out from their pins, so I had to use the spare to set up the machine and I don’t have the spare anymore.
Patience has never been my strongest attribute lol, so while I’m waiting for C3d to send me a new switch, I figured I could re-pin the spare I have. (I figure it’s good to have a spare anyway.) I ordered what I thought was the right pin size for the connector from Amazon, but it’s not correct. Can anyone tell me, or point me to a thread with the pin and connector size for the S05 homing switches?
