How come it's going thru the wood?

I have a problem. I am using V8.
Why is there hole going thru the piece of wood around the face?

I cannot join the file because it’s too big.

Because there is a gap in the 3D model which admits the tool.

Post your file to network file sharing site such as Google Drive, set it to public and share the link?

Hope this link works

I think I found it. Your comment about that there is a gap in the 3D model made me zoom in the STL Outline vector i created. There was space between the 3D model and the outline.

So i took this outline and created an offset vectors to it of 0.5 mm Inside.

No more space between the 3D model and this vectors.

Now when I generate the preview, no more holes.

Next step : produce it in wood.

Thanks Will, you are the best.

Any pixel (voxel) that has a value of zero in the STL file does not get represented by solid.

Instead of using a “Base Height” of 10mm, create a larger flat component 10mm height. Then add the STL to it with no Base Height.

Of course, offsetting your boundary & just not cutting those areas works too. But sometimes you might see voids in the area you want to cut, or you may want to cut past the edge & have the tool stop & leave the 10mm base.
