How do I add a frame stl to another stl file

I’m going to be doing a 3D carve of the Virgin Mary and I would like to add a 3D frame to it. How do I go about this? TIA

Since they will be two separate 3D objects, just import them both.
The tricky part is getting the heights to match, and the flat area behind Mary to line up with the depth on the frame where you want it.
It helps if you have another software that can open STL and analyze the heights.

Once you go to machine, setup boundaries for the 3D objects and only cut the ornate bits with 3D. For the background area between the frame & Mary, just use a 2D pocket or face milling operation.
