I placed a rectangle inside the triangle. I want to pocket the inside of the triangle but leave the rectangle. In other words pocket out the inside of the triangle around the rectangle. How do I do this? Also can you explain why and when I would want to use the ooptions of “Keep original vectors” and “Group output” ?
boolean operations work when there are overlapping shapes, either adding, subtracting, or intersecting. Smart Weld works with text & considers internal shapes as separate booleans.
I use “keep original vectors” when I want to reuse one of the shapes. Normally the original shapes would be deleted leaving the resulting shape.
“Group Output” does just that, creates a group from the resulting shapes. Useful when working with a lot of vectors.
To pocket the triangle & leave the rectangle, just select them both & do a pocket toolpath. No boolean’s needed.

Thanks for the reply. I was trying to overthink it. Lol.
