How to do 3d text on CC

I am trying to create a simple text in 3d to carve an initial on a hardwood board. I followed Willadams file on that but not able to create tool paths. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I can see the letter in 3d, but cant get it to 3d tool path. file is attached.

Thanks so much
Mani

Your text is modeled to be thicker than the stock:

(indicated by being red)

If you increase the stock thickness:

Then the 3D toolpaths will be generated as expected:

Thanks Will.

I dont fully understand this. I had the thickness at 12mm and the text at 3mm. How is the test higher than stock?

Because:

12mm

+ 3mm

== 15mm

If you change the text to subtract:

it is removed from the surface of the stock:

Thanks. I missed the typo inmy model. Thanks,

On another issue - I am doing an inlay on a board. When I ran simulation, the tabs I put in is not showing up. I put the tab on the offset profile set up. WOuld appreciate if you can point out what I am doing wrong. I dont want to find out it shifts when I am cutting.

Thanks,
Mani
