How to flip the letter I from vertical to horizontal

Good afternoon.
I am trying to carve the capitol letter I for a wedding gift. I start with it in the vertical position but when I go to rotate it to horizontal I can never get it to be perfectly horizontal. Is there a way in can get it perfectly level/horizontal.

It’s possible the “I” is asymmetrical. If you can upload your .c2d file that would definitely help.

Use the Measure tool:

to determine the rotation from orthogonal:

and rotate it based on that:
