I gave this panel to my customer and the buttons he has does not fit through the small hole where he can’t screw on a cap. I’ve seen in some panels that they surface the rear Of the panel so when a customer is going to install these buttons, they don’t have a problem with screwing on the cap. I wanted to know how I can do this without messing up the measurements or even how to accomplish this
Looks like acrylic. Is it? I would run the job from the back with a larger pocketing pass before cutting the hole through. If you are trying to save this piece you might try your drill press, because that is not going back on the cnc.
Sure it can. It’s just another machining operation, and he would have to set his zeros in relation to the holes he wants to pocket/surface around.
And it doesn’t have to be super accurate, at least in XY since it’s on the back, and the pockets can be a bit oversize to allow for minor misalignment. The only critical dimension would be the Z. Just touch off near the holes & make sure it’s held down in that area well.
