Are we able to tell CM how many cuts to make? I don’t want my first cut to go too deep so I would like to tell it to make 2 passes instead of one.
This is set in the CAM tool, so usually would be Carbide Create.
The specific setting is “Depth per Pass” which has an initial default in the Tool definition:

If you do not measure your project precisely the first cut can be too deep or too shallow. Inaccurate measuring can also result in an onion skin at the bottom of your project or cutting through and scaring up your spoilboard. If you are accurately measuring your stock then follow what @WillAdams suggested and modify your tool settings. You can copy a C3D tool and customize it without having to do it each time you use the tool from the C3D list.
