I am trying to figure out how to use the align tools

Can someone send me a link to watch a video on aligning boxes to cutout for a jig?

I need to make 6 rows evenly spaced

Why not use a Linear Array?

Thank you! That’s what I was trying to figure out

Just thinking out loud - A “Space Evenly” command would be a nice feature. Allowing you to space dissimilar objects, which you can’t do with the array functions.

The tools I’ve seen that do this take the outermost two objects and use them as the top and bottom positions, and arrange the remaining items in between them as best as it can (in other words, even if they overlap)

Or - a Carbide version might use “Space between” and “Center to center”, like the linear array function, and maybe share some logic to make the coding easier?

EDIT
BTW: This is the menu that Lightburn gives for their “Distribute” function…does exactly what is being discussed:

It is in the Align Vectors command:

What fantastic turn-around time on coding those requests!

Didn’t notice it lurking there

Thanks!

I used the Linear Array and that was perfect. Thanks!!!

One “trick” I have used for spacing is to create a square the size of the required spacing and align the vectors using the align tools.

The squares at the top are all 2"x2" and the other vectors are spaced out using the boxes as a reference.

I aligned them using the alignment tools
