Ok. I have searched the group files and the tutorials, but can not find how to group toolpaths. Everything starts out under group 1, but can’t figure out how to split the various toolpaths into separate groups.
Funny thing is, I did find a reff to it in CC ver 3 somthing, and it said it was new, but did show or tell how to implement.
Usually I set up groups by tool, so that it is possible to enable/disable all the toolpaths for a given tool.
Another option is two-sided work — toolpaths for one side will be in one group, for another in a second.
Or, if making multiple parts, put each part in a separate toolpath group so that if need be, a single part may be isolated and cut w/o having to make all the others.
Agree. What he said!
In my current case, I’m doing some layering of parts on two different boards and it helps to lay them out together to ensure the overlap each other correctly and then disable one group and save the file to cut. Once cut, come back and enable/disable the other group to cut the second board/overlay. Just works for me.
