I thought I could do it... but? Help please

So I recently purchase Create Pro and have been trying to figure all this out. Either projects take forever or they don’t have the crispness (might not be a word) that I am looking for. None of my designs are to crazy I don’t think. Attached is a file of a flag that I am trying to do with a Navy Chief anchor (Hooyah) but I cant get the chain to look like actual chain. Just looks like little blobs. To be fair I haven’t actually carved this, I have only looked at the 3d rendering. I will take any and all suggestions possible. Thanks in advance. Smokey

I was just playing around with this stuff in another topic trying to understand 3D as well.

I’m just guessing at your dimensions as I can’t see them anywhere. Looks like your pocket is about 0.050" deep?

Here I just took the letter U, and the chain in the middle.

For the letter, make a shape that is Flat & 0.050 tall
For the chain, make a round shape, Angle 90, height 0.050

After doing several of these it all depends upon the original image I have used meshcam to smooth out but every image I have done has needed smoothing in some sorts and unfortunately CC Pro will only get you so far, not a fault so much with the software but more so the inability to fill in voids of original image if that makes sense.

Those look awesome. Thats what Im looking for. I will check out meshcam. Thanks

Holy crap, I downloaded the meshcam trial and you might have made it sound easier than it really is ha ha

It has a steep learning curve and believe it or not I reached out to a guy on ETSY who creates STLs and after sharing that I was active duty and do these as departure/mess gifts he offered to assist and teach me. There are still good people out there! You tube is your friend when learning lol.
