Just wanted to share the link for the top I used for my work table. I made a basic frame out of 2x4s with cross bracing underneath. For the top I used 2 of these 6’ Particleboard Benchtop at Menards https://www.menards.com/main/p-1444428177071.htm they were only $13 each and they are 1 1/8 inches thick. They make a nice solid surface for the cnc and are pretty cheap for what you get with how much lumber has gone up.

Saw an article that lumber futures have dropped 40%. We will see if that trickles down to retail.

I’m jealous. We don’t have Menards in UT.

It would be nice, I really want to build a new shop soon but I will be hard to convince my wife if it will cost more than our house lol.
