I am not sure if this has been asked.
Is there a way to a add a function to carbide create, to allow you to save the current offset, so that it can be re-loaded for the same project after a power cycle ?
The current zero is stored persistently in Grbl, and if you power down, then power up again and use Carbide Motion to go back to zero, should be the same position.
