My understanding is CM initialization does not just initialize your C3D machine, but also sets some things in your computer. Any time you change computers or versions of CM you should run the initialization routine.

I did and it wouldn’t initialize the machine at all on any of the 600 series CM programs. As soon as I downloaded the 582 version, the machine works fine.
Initialization was a poor choice of words on my part. I think it should be setup or configuration (I’m not near my machine at the moment).
I did reconfig with 3-600 series CM programs and none of them worked with my machine. Not really sure why this is but the 582 version works.
