Is it possible to use an iPad for design and creation only using carbide create?

No. We do not at this time have an app for iOS.

Folks use an iPad w/ their machines in a couple of ways though:

  • as a controller for a headless setup, say using a Raspberry Pi
  • drawing in an SVG editor and exporting the SVG files to be imported into Carbide Create on a Mac or Windows computer
  • modeling using Shapr3D, then exporting an STL to do CAM in MeshCAM on a Windows or Mac OS X computer

It might be that Sidecar would be workable/helpful, but I don’t know if anyone has tried it yet.
