Working on bbparson’s cabinet and i made a few dumb mistakes using my cnc to cut the sides so as im heading out to buy another sheet of plywood, I got to thinking about the interior height regarding vacuum hose routing.
Is there anything inherently wrong with attatching the vacuum hose to the drag chain? It seems as though a boom arm would not be feasible with a slanted front and low top. Now im thinking i should design a taller more box shaped enclosure with a lid that swings up to the ceiling. I do know I would lose some access without the diagonal cutout and that would not be ideal.
The cabinet im building:
The hose I am using.
Edit: ive read that people have had to redo their enclosures with taller interior height. I also am considering a water cooled spindle upgrade in thr future so i might be doing the taller box design after all.
