I think that 100% of the time, when I view a simulation, I uncheck the “Show toolpath”, and the “Show Rapids” and the “Show Cutter”.
Is it possible to default these to unchecked and they can be checked if wanted?
Others have any comments on this?

No default settings. You get fast, and show everything for the first go around.
I think simulation only (no tool or path) is my most common view as well. Although on occasion I’ll view the toolpath & cutter without the model.
You are not alone. I almost always turn off tool path and cutter. I just want to see the finished simulation and not all the intermediate parts.
While a default might be good, it would be better, IMO, to have the program just save what the last setting were when last used: ie, if you unchecked something or checked something, even after you close that file and reopen later, the same setting “for that file” would be present. Maybe this could even be having the same “material type” (cherry, pine, etc) as when the file was last saved.
Probably too much trouble, but could save time for some.
This has been a minor annoyance for me as well.
I agree with @Frank246, just save the ‘last used’ configuration, including the material selected. ‘Last used’ would be my default anyway.
I like the last saved option as well. The material type option also.
That seems to make more sense.
Would I need to submit a feature request for this or would someone from Carbide3d grab it?
