Issue with multiple tool paths on Onefinity

Is anyone on here using CCPro with a Onefinity machine? If so, have you had any issues with multiple tool paths? The cut was paused after the first tool path was complete and the gantry stopped over the cut, not the home position. I swapped out bits with some luck and attempted to re-probe for Z, but the probe operation would not work. My remote controller would not allow me to move in any direction. I did get the bits switched and hit the play button but after that my X & Y were off by about 1.5”. I ended up creating two separate files and re-probed the XY&Z between the two. I did read on here about having “carbide3D shapoko” selected as the post processor but doubt that will work with Onefinity.

Happy Cutting!

The Advanced V carving feature is intended for use w/ a system which allows for a tool change w/in a single file — the BitSetter affords that when used w/ Carbide Motion and a Carbide 3D Shapeoko or Nomad.

On the forum a user Fenrus has a link to a website that will separate out the advanced vcarve into separate tool paths. Look for it to solve your problem. I have looked at the OneInfinity machines and they do not seem to have the BitSetter function that C3D has. The BitSetter is required to do advanced vcarve in CC Free/Pro. Unless OneInfinity has a BitSetter functionality you will not be able to use advanced vcarve from CC without using Fenrus’s application. You should be using the generic gcode or gbrl post processor for the OneInfinity machines. The Shapeoko/Nomad will likely not work for your machine. The pro will let you save gcode but advanced vcarve is saved as a single gcode file even with multiple tools used.

Perfect! Thanks for the info. I’ll look into it.
