Issues with ordering?

Hey so I’ve decided I want to take advantage of the free shipping and I’ve decided to order the XXL, my first CNC router  I’m super excited. I’m in Canada, but when I go to order, it gives me errors, sometimes says my card is denied, sometimes says the address is wrong, etc. It’s not.

I’ve called the credit card company, they say I’m more than good enough to make that purchase and theres no problems on their end, and they can see the attempts and it’s nothing on their side that’s causing issues. Yesterday they claim they saw the attempts but since working with them, they can’t see the attempts anymore. But when I try to pay with Google Pay or Paypal, they see those attempts fail, but they say they shouldn’t be failing because they’ve removed any additional security. The credit card company can still see the third party attempts but not when I enter my info directly on the site. I tried calling Carbide but it seems like their offices are closed even though it says they’re open right now on a Saturday. I’d really like to figure this out and get that turtle ground shipping rolling ASAP

Anyone have similar issues? I’ve tried Google Pay, regular credit card, Paypal, etc. Nothing works. Paypal wants to charge me $150 bucks to convert currencies too which I’m not into at all.

Kevin,
Thanks for choosing us. We do have tech on call on Saturday. We might not have someone in sales to help you until Monday morning. Please send an email to sales@carbide3d.com. We will try to get you sorted out.

Thanks

Thanks! I sent off an email.

To purchase your XXL in Canada go to the Robot Shop. https://www.robotshop.com/ca/en/carbide-3d-shapeoko-xxl-z-plus-cc-router-65mm.html

The cost of importing anything purchased directly will be a big surprise. The duty fees.

I was under the impression that if it’s American made and the paperwork is correct, there’s no duty fees? I saw talk of that multiple times on these forums

Also, it’s almost 300 dollars more on that website, and out of stock for over a month

I didn’t realize they were out of stock. I do know that my bit setter cost an extra $40 to get through customs.
I think you made the right choice in machines and time to buy.The latest improvements look amazing.

Yeah! I’d think about going through their site if it was in stock, but the wait is just too much. Profits I’ll make in an extra month will be worth it. Man I’m excited to start making stuff!
