YOOOOO. So i just ditched an x-carve and I’ve got the open builds lead 1515 on a Fedex truck as I type. Im ditching the inventables environment and heading over to the carbide world. ive been tinkering in the software and I came across this issue right here. the simulation/preview isn’t smooth but the paths are. any idea why it does this?
Can you share the vector file used here?
CC previews probably aren’t as clean as they could be, but that looks like you have more going on than that.
im not sure if I responded to you or the thread so here goes again
Do you have “High Resolution Simulation” checked?
What size is this text? There’s a certain minimum element size in the preview — you could export G-Code, then preview in a 3rd party tool which allows increasing the resolution.

high resolution is checked. im creating my file with zero stroke so it really is just the path. so if its a zero stroke path in affinity designer it might not be enough to meet that minimum element size in CC? thanks a ton.

so I exported and viewed in a third party piece of software. these are the results. they look smooth to me. im quite new at this but I feel as though this looks correct
I think this is Create resolution thing. You were pretty zoomed in.
The toolpaths look fine (I checked in NCviewer as well, and there is no evidence of a zig-zaggy toolpath), the SVG doesn’t have anything weird going on…I think you’re good.
That’s what I’m thinking. Thanks for taking a look. Appreciate the effort. Have a great night.
