I don’t know if I’m over looking it, but I’m looking to just do some simple cuts, poss importing some clip art for my daughter and for me to just practice setting up my material, zeroing and what not. But how do I import a simple clip art into CC??
It should be able to open (rather than import) SVG or DXF. Then draw the balance of the piece. Or, Create in Inkscape and open the ready-to-cut file.

Yes, like Will said you can open SVG or DXF formats in CC.
You can also use the Library of included clip art samples.
