Just want to put a center line on acrylic templates

This probably super simple and I’m not getting it to happen. I downloaded some DXF templates for a guitar project and would like to use a V bit to scribe a center line into the template. Both the files came with a center line, and I used Create Polyline to trace over the center line. When i go to make a tool path I keep getting “Empty Toolpath… Error: No Closed Vectors Selected”.

I can get polyline to make edges where I want to cut the template from a larger sheet of acrylic, but this one has me stumped.

V carve toolpaths require a closed region.

If you just want to cut along a line use a No Offset Contour with a V tool assigned to that toolpath.
