Large slab flattening tips?

I need to flatten a large (24x48) epoxy river table I am making for my son. I have a Pro XXL. My plan is to get a 1/2 piece of MDF and flatten that first in order to get the slab above the small lip from flattening the WB. I will start in the middle and take SUPER light passes. I know I will have to move the slab back and forth to be able to get it all. Any tips on securing and supporting the slab when doing this?

Thanks

Another option there is to remove the MDF filler strips, rotate them 180 degrees and then cut off the raised section almost as low as the aluminum T-track, then rotate them back into place — tedious, but only needs to be done once per set of filler strips.
