The ‘power on’ LED ring that’s around the power button on my S4 no longer illuminates when on. The machine is powered on and works as expected, just no light.
Is it just a dead LED, or could it be indicative of another issue?
LED lights tend to last a long time. It would be more likely it is a loose connection. The LED driver could be bad but again LEDs tend to last a long time because they are such low current devices.

Based on the age of the machine I’d say the LED has just gone out.

That’s my understanding on LEDs as well, so made me a little suspicious that it could be something else. Connections at the back of the button are all solid, so will check the control box next.
