I am trying to cut a sign out and the letters are not cutting properly. I should have realized when viewing the simulation, but it is a bit hard to see the issue. I am using a 90 degree V bit (1/2" diameter), with a 1/2" depth setting (max). When you look at certain letters you can see that the bit doesn’t stay straight in the corners (top of the M, middle of the H) for example. I have tried changing the depth setting to the stock bottom, but that doesn’t seem to help.
1/2" dia 90° will cut 1/4" deep I’m guessing those intersections are bigger than 1/2", so it’s trying to cut deeper than 1/4", leaving some straight walls.
