Having issues with this logo. I have tried Vcarve, Pocket and Contour. Everything is good until the text. The logo is going on a box, that is 4" square. I can’t change the font, as this is their official logo. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!
You said you tried vcarve but what angle was your cutter? A 60 degree vbit can do some fairly fine detail.
That is a pixel image — do you have a vector version?
I suppose it should be asked what you mean by everything goes good until the text. Do you mean while carving, designing it, or toolpathing?
What is it that you don’t like about the text? The rounded letters look a little chuncky on the curves. It looks better with a 90 degree vbit than a 60.
I am using MDF to test before I start using Cherry
You seem to be using a No Offset Contour — I believe you’ll be better pleased w/ a V carving.
Upload the .c2d file?

See attached. I have not had my CNC for very long, still learning. Thank you
When I open your file it is set in Sitka:
So we re-assign the font:
but the Bold is not taking…
Fixing that:
We need to adjust the size a bit:
Note however, that this does not seem to be the same file as was used for the cut shown above since the text is not distorted vertically.
Once things are updated we arrive at:
Rather than a Contour toolpath, we assign a V-carving toolpath:
which previews as:
Attached as a v8 file w/ the type converted to Curves.
