What does this attach to? It feels like it has threads but I see nothing to thread it to.
When this happened to me, no matter how much I tried, I could not get it threaded back in. C3D ended up sending me a new ball screw/stepper motor assembly. Replacement only took about 20 minutes.
Ooof!! How many hours on your CNC?
Not exactly how sure how many hours on my 5 Pro, but it was within the first year so it was covered under warranty. Had to replace the entire Z-axis assembly too along with several various iterations of the VFD spindle and controller. It was all worth it though since it’s been working very well after getting the bugs worked out.
