Mac 11.4 Font issue

Hi, I’m on a M1 Mac. CC is now showing all of these fonts and more but none of what I usually use.
Notice the duplicates starting with a . ie .PingFang SC

These fonts do not show up on any of the native Mac apps or Word etc.

Aren’t the duplicates metadata? Just go in to the Fonts folder and delete them, or use FontBook to clear them out.

There are no duplicates in the font book. None of .fonts show in font book either.

Delete the .files in the Fonts folder?
