Machine screw identification help

I was cutting some MDF with my machine today and I noticed this screw laying on the bed after the spindle had passed by. It takes a metric 2.5 hex head and it looks to be an M4 with a 0.7 pitch.

Any guesses as to where this goes? I’d like to send it home to be with its friends.

That’s what I was afraid of. I cannot see it missing from any of the HG-15 linear bearing blocks. That leads me to conclude that it’s the one that’s fully hidden behind the ballnut.

Is there guidance on how to get at that particular bearing block without removing the entire Z assembly?

Send a photo of your Z-axis to the folks at support and we should be able to advise you.
