Wow, that takes up a lot of real estate to play the game. Hope its for the kids to play.
Makes me think of those backyard chess boards with kid-sized playing pieces!
I made a set of those dimensions 15 years ago with traditional tools (tablesaw & drill press) for a retirement community. Now I am reaching the age where the extra size is understood and appreciated 
They were made from two layers of maple and one of walnut.
And, yes, it does take up a bit of real estate.

Thanks, @Ed.E and @Phillip.Harrell . Are they solidly-laminated or filled with random offcuts? I.e. could they be pocketed deeply, or just surface detail?
Mostly (in my experience) they are solid. Every so often there will be a void at the center where the two halves don’t quite match up.

I have cut about 50 of these boards and all the ones I have cut down to .25 never had any voids even made a complete deck of cards for the grand kids

Wow, you’re most of the way through the board! I went in to work yesterday morning to check on the progress of a 27-hour 3D print I started Friday afternoon, and stopped at three Dollar Trees on the way. Two had nada, and the third only had large bamboo cutting boards for $5. I bought one just because, but noticed it was only 5/16" thick, significantly thinner than the C3D project board/Nomad case side offcut which is 1/2" thick. When I got home I checked the Dollar Tree website and found yes, the small board is also only 5/16" thick.
My goal is just to make a new project organizer after living with the C3D confidence-building “make this first” example that used the Nomad side window offcut. I want to have dedicated pockets for the various collets-with-nuts, and tailor the other pockets for the plastic endmill sleeves I actually have.
My plan is to cut the large board into pieces and either laminate and then cut, or window one piece and then laminate onto a solid base piece. Jury is still out and I’m not in a big hurry so I can mull it over in odd moments…
