When using my Shapeoko with the 44w Octo Pro laser I use Lightburn software. Within that software is a setting for speed in mm/m. What is the maximum speed I can enter for the Shapeoko 5 Pro?
5000 as limited by grbl settings $110 and $111.

I guess that isn’t technically the whole answer. It is 5000 in either x or y. If you were moving at a 45 degree angle I guess ole Pythagoras would say it is just over 7000. But since laser work tends to care about rastering, that probably does not matter.
