I did a two tool job in meshcam for my xxl for the first time. I didn’t know what to expect when it came time to change tools. It was an important job and the roug cut was good enough, so I removed the work and bit to see what would happen. I clicked and it proceeded without giving me the opportunity to measure the tool. Is multi tool machining not an option?
Yes, it is, but for a Shapeoko you either have to accept the imprecision of using depth ring collars or some similar technique for ensuring consistent stickout, or you have to export two separate files — see: http://docs.carbide3d.com/tutorials/tool-change/
