I would like to see an option in the main interface to switch from Metric to Imperial measurements when designing a project. I use Lightburn software for the laser and recently downloaded their software for CNC. Both of their software programs have the option to switch between Metric and Imperial within the main toolbar.
I often switch to metric when working within my project, but switch to Imperial when referencing my material stock size, or when adjusting the overall size of my project. It is a bit of hassle to do this in Carbide Create Pro.
No complaints here. It would just be a nice option to be able to switch back and forth on-the-fly.
I agree 100%. I switch back and forth so much, I started making cheat sheets for the most common conversions. For the various CNC machines and 3D printer, I have a label that has the working dimensions in imperial and metric so I don’t have to look it up. Lastly, I gave away my imperial only measuring instruments for the most part. All of my rulers and tapes have both. I also have a conversion on my phone. The only thing stopping from moving completely to metric is a lack of big selection of fasteners at the local hardware stores. I have bought a bunch of the smaller sizes M6 and below. I have the taps for drills for each. Stil a pain.
