Model Shape built from shape drawing?

I am sorry but I am having trouble even describing what I am trying to do, but I am making a sign to give to my barber shop. I have done my best to recreate their logo and fonts, and am pretty happy with it.

So I have discovered how to use the model creation of the CC Pro 836, from trying to do a picture for a client. I am able to make a pretty cool Alamo with the add shape function.

The thing I have not figured out how to do is make it reversed, kind of like the female of the inlay with this.

So is there a way to flip it inside out, so it would carve down into the wood?

This is the file, please forgive all the mistakes and non-use of layering. I normally use it, but this was just a slap dash

I don’t use CC.

But try this.

Not 100% sure if this is what you’re looking for, but if you want CC to 3d model shapes inset into your material, under merge type select “subtract”.

Thank you, I tried that and it wont show anything on the “show 3d”, going back to the drawing board on this one, I must be missing something

This is a great one, thank you for the suggestion

You need to start off with a solid base to subtract from. Create a rectangle and then build the base at a thickness that your subtraction won’t go all the way through. It has to be the first feature for this to work but you can create it without deleting anything you have already done just move it to be the first feature.
