Can I keep two versions of Carbide Motion on my laptop and switch between them ?
Latest version of CM not retracting the router when pausing a job and not being able to choose the park position of the router for changing bits are irritating. I would like to see how much of an issue they are before committing to the latest version. I am not the only one commenting on these ‘improvements’ so am just adding my voice.

This is easy on a Mac (just rename the binaries — I do this for testing purposes)
On Windows, it might be possible, but you’d need to manage the install locations manually, and then keep track of which icon is which version.
Will:
Does the install procedure stop and ask for the installation directory (typical Windows procedure). Just renaming the shortcut associated with the desktop icon can identify which version.
