Mysterious Flared V-Carve letters?

I pretty new to this…so…
I’m trying to do a basic v-carve font (corbel) with a 45 degree V bit and I use carbide create pro. I did this font previously with no problems. Now this font and others I’ve tried have “flared” fancy looking corners on the tips of all my letters?

In my drawings they look like they should, clean square corners of each letter…these “flares” show up in simulation and obviously in my cuts as well.
Any thoughts please?
Thanks
Steve

Is this happening in the preview? Or when cutting?

If when cutting, could you have loaded the wrong V tool? Or misjudged the Z-axis zero?

Photo of the result and the file to compare?

Simple vcarves should always use bottom of material. If you limit depth you get unusual results. Post your file or a picture so we can see what is happening. If you need to limit dept then use advanced vcarve. I have not used CC V8 yet but things for vcarving are changing in the v8 beta.

Thank you guys

for the replies I appreciate it.
These were the test cuts that I’m have a problem with. All three have the goofy “flares” on the ends of each letter. I used the same font, Corbel, on letters a couple days ago and the letters had crisp edges. This is how it’s cutting now, same bit I used previously with no problem, a 45 degree V- Bit.
Thank you for your help.

As a P.S. It does those “flares” with every font I try?

Did you depth limit the V carve? Does this match the 3D preview?

Try the new beta:

I’ve only seen that in my projects if the angle of the v-bit in the program doesn’t match the angle of the v-bit I ran on the machine. Also, depending on the program, they may go by the angle of the cut, or the angle of the sides relative to the centerline. So some programs want a bit that has an angle of 90 degrees to be programmed as a 45 degree bit.
