I was running the homing routine and my x axis jammed on the ball screw and I am not sure what happened exactly but i can not turn it at all and the motor just spins when i try to run it. I just oiled the machine not to long ago so I do not think it is a low oil problem though it might be or it may have happened do to how I oiled it. should i take the z axis off to see what happened? also I would really like to get someone who may be able to help me learn how to maintain my machines if possible.
I would guess the linear bearings on the spindle plate are a bit dry.
You said the motor spins but nothing happens ? I would have expected you to hear the steps skipping.
Probably a ballscrew coupler, the silver and red thing in the black housing. Tighten, rotate, tighten. Check your ballscrew pillow block is still perpendicularish on the opposite end. Otherwise its your ballscrew nut then good luck you’ll probably want to wait for support.

There are a lot of threads showing linear bearing oiling.
