Need help with platter base

I’m trying to put a slope on the bottom of a platter. I want to have .250 flat on top edge sloping from there 3 inches toward center to the edge of the base ring .when I try it in modeling I get a full half circle profile .

Okay, start w/ the flats modeled:

Adding a rounded scaling seems to result in what is desired (plus a bit extra):

Reapplying the flat then gets one the desired bottom:

Thanks again William. I was successful in getting it drawn and will be cutting it tomorrow. I will post pics when done.
