Need instructions to use "Allow Remote Access" in CM622

Hello, can someone in support explain how to use the “Allow Remote Access” in the new CM622? I can’t find any documentation for using this feature in CM622.

Thank You,
Joseph DeLaPaz

This feature is a pairing between Carbide Create and Carbide Motion — when enabled/used in both program it allows sending files from one to the other — basic sequence is:

  • enable acces in both apps
  • launch Carbide Motion first
  • then launch Carbide Create and set up or load a file with toolpaths
  • Carbide Create should then see that CM is running on the network and enable the option to send a file to it

Hi Will, thanks for replying. However, I don’t see how to enable “allow remote access” in carbide create. I am using CC758. I know how to enable this in CM622 but don’t see a way to enable in CC758. Can you clarify how this is enabled in CC?

Hello, There is no apparent way to enable “Allow Remote Access” in Carbide Create 758. How is this feature in Carbide Create 758 enabled?

Thanks
Joseph

Must be enabled by default.

Hi Will, what does that mean? “Enabled by default”? Please clarify. How is it enabled? Can you try it on CC758 on one computer and CM622 networked on another computer connected to a shapeoko? I’m trying to find out if there is a bug preventing this remote access to work with the newest betas. And then get back to me with what you find out.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Joseph
