New Carbide Control Board

I have been getting some comments on my page about the bitsetter. On my board, I had to use a splitter that came with the bitsetter to split the signal from the touch probe. Easy enough. This person is saying he called into support because his bitsetter didn’t come with a splitter. He received a new control board instead of a splitter. Told him that’s all he needed. Is there a new board, that does not require the splitter? Just trying to keep up on events so I can give “correct” help. Thanks.

Yes…(there is) (Ref: Ver 2.4e)

I have a 2.4e and I had to use a splitter for the touch probe and bit setter.

Or can you still use the two pin probe connector with the separate 5v wire for the touch probe and use the reserved connector for the bitsetter?

Correct. I should clarify…my (2.4e) board came with an adapter for the induction limit switches and there is a probe connection there, another 3 pin probe connection on the side of the board and a third (old) probe (2-pin) connection on the long white connector. I still use this 2 pin probe style for my metal work (finding centers, etc).

Oh, okay, that makes since.

So did you upgrade the Z-Plus to get the Induction Limit Switches?

Yes I did…Sooooo happy with the Z…FINALLY!
