Thank you! I’ve been fooling around with alot of different 3d wall art carves finding which feeds and speeds for different materials and tools getting used to this new machine. I am going to be focusing back to designing and building custom electric guitars and new fixturing. I wanted to make sure of the accuracy and repeatability of this new Shapeoko 5.1 4x4 with the big water cooled spindle and have been very impressed so far! I’m going to put it to the test on a customer special ordered electric tele styled guitar and will post the project!

Lots of folks have been using this machine for making all kinds of stuff that requires accuracy. Winston (Wmoy) has several videos on the subject on this forum that proves the S5 Pro’s up to the test. The best thing you could do is exactly what you did by testing and learning the machine and feed/speeds etc. to move forward!

Thank you Anthony you can accomplish anything especially when you enjoy what your doing and keep learning everyday! I always had a passion for wood and creating and designing things that I was interested in and pursued my interests mainly music and guitar playing led to working on guitars and mods to make them sound better and now building them. And trust me l am still learning after years so I understand a learning curve but thats whats so nice about this group and forum lots of help and people that share our passion there’s lots of knowledgeable folks on here that will help us out I know its helped me alot. So have fun and just keep up the love of woodworking !
