New tool data base not showing on machine computer

I do all my CC on my Mac then transfer the file to a thumb drive and put the drive in my MacBook for running on my Shapeko 3. I have made a new data base with some router bits that are not supported by CC.

The new data base shows up on the Mac but not on the MacBook and the program I’m running uses one of the bits from the new data base. When it’s time to change bits CM tells me to change to the new bit even though it does not show it when I click on “Show tool data base”.

The machine keeps stopping at line 105 of 1075 the new restart function won’t work because all I get is the rotating circle.

I am using build 831 on both machines.

Any idea what’s going on?

Does

Upload your .c2d file, screengrab showing the custom tool definition, screengrab showing what Carbide Motion is showing?

how do I upload the file

Use the Upload button:

[

](https:///Users/jamescolombo/Documents/Documents/CNC folder/1a prep old base.c2d)

The .c2d file didn’t get uploaded — what does Carbide Motion show?

Having the same tool library on both machines shouldn’t strictly be necessary — did you copy the .csv file to the second machine?

1a prep old base.c2d (80 KB)
1a prep old base.c2d (80 KB)

where is the .csv file

Installed in the tools sub-directory in the Carbide Create directory revealed by About Carbide Create | Open data directory

I copied the .csv file to the thumb drive but I don’t know how to copy it into CC on the machine computer.

Launch CC, About Carbide Create | Open data directory, go into the Carbide Create folder, then the tools folder, place there.

Thank you William. I will now try to run the program and hopefully it will finish

Once again thanks for your patience

Jim
