New upgrade z plus from cc3d

Was just on cc 3d web site Nd seen they now have an up grade z plus. Has anyone made the upgrade to it and if so how much trouble was it to change out

They’re not available yet for upgrading.
Currently, it’s an option for new machine purchases.

Shapeoko Z-Plus

Well, I guess you beat me to the post: [zplus-action-2] This is going to be a new option for Shapeoko’s starting on Monday. HG15’s Leadscrew with anti-backlash nut .25" Steel plates Inductive homing switches all around At the start it’ll only be an option for new machines because we’re waiting for a bracket we’ll need for retrofits. It will be priced well-below the HDZ. (Pricing will be announced on Monday just in case we change our mind over the weekend)

I don’t really need an upgraded Z-axis right now, but if I do in the future, I’m trying to decide whether to go with the new lower cost Z-Plus or the HDZ. I’ve read that the HDZ has increased Z-travel, while the Z-Plus is “about the same” as the standard belt-drive Z-axis. Anyone know exactly how much more travel you get with the HDZ as compared to the other two? I couldn’t find it stated on the C3D site.

it states:

• Offers 150mm of travel

Which I assume means that the HDZ has about 75mm more travel than the standard 3" (~75mm) travel. Too bad the Z-Plus doesn’t offer that much travel. Then it would be a slam dunk for me.
