Newbie looking for guidance

Hello everyone, I am awaiting my 4x4 Shapeoko 5 pro. I am new to CNC and Carbide Create and have been practicing with our company logo. I cannot seem to program a tool path to pocket the 3 shapes on the mountain. I always get “empty tool path”.
What am I doing wrong? I have attached a sample of our logo below.

Thankyou

The bit your trying to use is way to big for the size of the pockets you are making. You will have to go down to a 1/32 bit to do this. Also you will have to slow down the depth per pass, plunge rate, and feed rate considerably from what i used as this bit is very fragile and will break easily. Also max depth can be not as deep. Try these settings

Max Depth: 0.100
Depth per Pass: 0.02
Plunge Rate: 24
Feed Rate: 40
RPM: 18000

Maybe a better choice would be to use advanced V Carve for this since its so small

Given all the sharp corners, I think you would be better off doing an Advanced VCarve instead, using a 60 deg V bit (or finer), plus a clearing bit .

Here’s an Advanced VCarve using a 30 deg bit:

Thanks for the advice, it is much appreciated. I am looking forward to getting my machine on next Tuesday and trying this out.
