With the Shapeoko 5 (and maybe others), you have the little box which has a momentary stop button and the e-stop button. I am wondering if the momentary button could be used as a pause/resume button. This would be handy to temporarily stop the system and easily resume (without having to go to the PC screen todo this).

On the S5Pro, it does function as a “Pause” button. It does not resume, as the screen button is required to resume. I believe they do this for safety as it would be too easy to double tap a pause/resume button and not have it pause when expected.
