Pausing a run and restarting the next day

Hello to All
I am trying to find out if its possible to pause a run and restart it the next day. I am looking at doing some texturing and i have tweaked the settings as much as i can and it will still take over 274 minutes. i was wondering if there is a way to stop the run and run it again the next day.
Thanks for any help you can give on this. I am only a newbi so any suggestions given would be appreciated.

No, that is not an option, and we specifically caution against leaving the machine paused for longer than a short break (stepper motors are weird and work their hardest when holding position).

Break up files/projects into short manageable chunks.

Start with test cuts to get a feel for how the machine cuts, and experiment with feeds and speeds and tooling and toolpath:

to arrive at something which suits the time you have available to monitor the machine.

If you have multiple tool paths complete ones that you have time for. Then stop the Shapeoko. Edit your .c2d file and disable previously cut tool paths. Then start the file and it will continue to cut the tool paths left. If you have only one tool path that wont work.

Post the file. Maybe a 2nd or 3rd set of eyes looking at it can help shorten the cutting time.

I try to stagger my work flow so that while a project is cutting I can be glueing, sanding, finishing, work in CC on my next project, or just cleaning up my shop. Sometimes I’ll download a movie and watch that while the machine cuts (my ear protection has blue tooth).
