Just curious if pc power has a lot to do with GCode conversion in Carbide Create. I use an older quad core Q6600 Intel processor at 2.4 Ghz with 8 GB of ram in the pc that runs my Shapeoko 3. I have noticed my house pc (I7 3770k processor at 3.5 Ghz with 16 GB ram) does this operation on the same drawing much quicker. I did set the program priority to high for carbidecreate.exe and carbidemotion.exe in task manager on the Shapeoko pc and it did seem to speed it up. The dragon face I was v-carving would sometimes cause Carbide Create to say Program Not Responding for a second or two when saving GCode.
It is fairly computationally intensive. Clock rate helps.
